Dr. Mary Rombaut is the Founder and Principal Fractional CMO of R-Squared Solutions. A forever student of leadership, Mary’s career as a researcher and marketing professional spans over 15 years and countless industries. She is fiercely passionate about growing B2B companies using insight and action. Mary started R-Squared Solutions out of a genuine desire to help businesses grow at scale.
Prior to starting R-Squared Solutions, Mary was the Managing Director of Research, Marketing, and Analytics for executive legal and compliance recruiting firm BarkerGilmore. Mary previously led a team of analysts at leading marketing firm, Butler/Till, as the Director of Marketing Analytics consulting on custom research and analytics projects, as well as reporting on marketing metrics. After spending the first part of her career climbing the ranks in higher education administration, she worked at a supply chain management and group purchasing organization helping member organizations save money on goods and services through the power of group buy.
Mary’s personal and professional life philosophy is continuous improvement. She believes that as people and as organizations we should always try to be better versions of ourselves. The best way to improve is to have data that tells us what is working and what can be better. As a statistical term, R-Squared tells a researcher how well their regression model explains observed data. The pursuit of actionable answers to explain a business’s challenges is what R-Squared Solutions is all about. Using insight to drive strategy is the differentiator between companies that grow and those that stagnate.
Mary holds a doctorate in Executive Leadership from St. John Fisher University, a Master of Arts in Political Science from Northern Illinois University, and a Bachelor of Arts from St. John Fisher University. As a first generation college graduate, she is incredibly grateful for the privilege her education has afforded her. Mary resides in Rochester, NY with her husband Jeff, their young sons Rory and Ryan (the double meaning behind R-Squared), baby daughter Sienna, and their golden retriever Irish. In her free time, Mary is an avid golfer, runner, and sports enthusiast.
